What is Illustrator ?

Adobe Illustrator is a vector graphics editor developed and published by Adobe Systems for Windows and MacOS. The software is widely popular in Graphic Designing industries. In 2018 Adobe Illustrator was reviewed as the best vector graphics editing program by PCMagazine.
History of Illustrator
Development of Adobe Illustrator for the Apple Macintosh began in 1985 with the concept of John Warnock, Co-founder of Adobe Systems, as a commercialization of Adobe's in-house font development software and PostScript file format.

Illustrator 1.0 was released on January 1987 for Macintosh exclusively. During it's first decade Illustrator provided results in typesetting and logo design.

Illustrator 2.0 released in 1989, was notable for being the first release for the Windows operating systems.
With the introduction of Illustrator 7.0 in 1997, Illustrator began to support TrueType, effectively ending the "Font wars" between PostScript Type 1 and TrueType. And also it began supporting plug-ins, greatly and quickly extending its abilities making users finally standardize on Illustrator.

Illustrator through the Years...
After 12 years of improvements, the first Illustrator CS was commercially released in October 2003 as the eleventh major version of Illustrator. It includes first great features of 3D and OpenType capabilities.

Illustrator CC 2018 (22.1.312) was launched on 18 October 2017. It was one of the First software to Powered by Adobe's Unified Artificial Intelligence System - 'Adobe Sensei ' which was created to give more powerful user-machine experiences. It features puppet warp tool and also first-hand mathematical algorithm improvements to selection tools.
