Colombo is the commercial capital and largest city of Sri Lanka by population. It is also the administrative capital of the Western Province of Sri Lanka. Colombo is a busy and vibrant place with a mixture of modern life and colonial buildings and ruins, thus making a top tourist destination. The main city is home to majority of Sri Lanka's corporate offices, restaurants and entertainment venues, for an example you can see the main headquarters of Sri Lanka Telecommunications PLC at the far end of the photograph.
